Wind Power
Wind power is a state-of-the-art environmentally friendly energy source. At Pomdi, we actively contribute to manufacture of one of the key wind turbine components: the blades.
The sector uses our solutions to bevel and cut the carbon sheets that form the blades’ skeleton (pultrusion) and give them the rigidity and strength they require. It also applies them to the tapered drill bits used to make the holes for the blade and rotor coupling.
We likewise manufacture rollers and discs used to grind and cut the part that joins the blade to the rotor, as well as to polish and then cut it into smaller segments to make transport easier and more efficient.
Applications for our tools in the wind power sector: cutting, grinding, pultrusion, drilling and facing.
